Fitting a kitchen corner post - part 1

Instructions:

Now it is time to fit the assembled corner post to the return unit using the clamps and screws. Clamp the assembled corner post to the side of the return unit as shown. Ensure you clamp both the top and bottom of the unit to ensure the post doesn’t move during fixing. Ensure the front of the return carcase is level with the front of the back panel as shown , also ensure the top and bottom of the carcase are level with the top and bottom of the corner post. Next we pilot drill as before in front of the hinge plate, then using a screw we attach the top of the corner filler to the carcase. We then repeat the process with the bottom of the corner filler. Ensure the filler doesn’t move throughout this process. Once a secure fixing has been achieved you may remove the clamps. To create a tightly fitting corner post we recommend you fix the top / middle and bottom of the corner post to the carcase as shown. You can now replace the return unit with its corner filler attached ready to fit to the wall, checking there are no gaps.
